Detail Itinerary

 

Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival 
Upon arrival at Siem Reap Airport meets and transfers by our local guide to hotel for check-in or drop off the bags (Early check in based on the room available), our start will start with a brief of history and introduction of Siem Reap province and Angkor. Visit to Angkor National Museum which you will see all the main artifacts from the pre-angkor period up the post-angkor period and especially a 30-minute meeting with our Khmer Archeologist from Khmer Royal University of fine and arts. We continue to a local pagoda for a very special blessing ceremony arranged by Buddhist monks to bring you the happiness, prosperities, peace of mind and pleasant trip.

Day 2: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples 
Early morning, visit to Ta Prohm (the Jungle temple covered) and continue to Angkor Wat temple. Back to hotel for breakfast and relax at hotel during the noon time to avoid of the head of the day until 3pm, we continue to visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayong Temple and proceed to one of the quiet temple Preah Khan then return to Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh 
Early morning at 05:00 transfer to view the sunrise on the Tonle Sap Lake and visit to floating village of Chong Kneas, return to hotel for breakfast at 08:00. Transfer to airport for a short flight to Phnom Penh, On arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, after clearing immigration and customs, you will be warmly welcomed by tour guide from Merry Travel and transferred to hotel for check in check (Early check-in is NOT included and subject to hotel’s availability), visit Toul Sleng Museum which was the biggest prisons in Pol Pot Regime, and meet one of the artists from Royal Cambodian Art University

Day 4: Mekong Islands – Cycling (8km) – Cruising 
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Mekong Islands with is bout 20km from Phnom Penh to the north by crossing Tonle Sap River and Mekong River by ferry. Cycling along the village of 8km to visit the local life and these villages most of villager are making farm plantation for living and especially is making silk. We return to Phnom Penh by boat cruise along Mekong River for 1.5 hours. In the afternoon, we continue to visit Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom; Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles and located within the Royal Palace compound.

Day 5: Phnom Penh – Ta Keo – Kep 
The journey southwards begins as we depart Phnom Penh and make our first stop at Phnom Chisor Temple dating back from the 11th century. A 500 step path leads up to the top of the hill from where we can enjoy fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. We get on our car to the quiet town of Takeo before taking a short cruise to Angkor Borei town, located just a few kilometer navigation from the Vietnam border. There is a small museum which displays several reproductions of sculptures from the nearby ruins and few artifacts dating as far back as the 4th century. After seeing this pleasant place, we continue our boat trip to visit a pre-Angkorian style temple of Phnom Da and a nearby temple of Asram Maharosei. The steep path over some big rocks makes Asram Maharosei different from other temples in Cambodia.

Day 6: Kep – Countryside Tour – Rabbit Island 
This morning you travel through delightful scenery of rice paddies, sugar palm trees, traditional wooden houses, and karst limestone outcrops on the way to the cave of Phnom Chhnork. Inside the cave you will discover the remains of a 7th century brick temple. After this you will visit the caves of Phnom Sla’an, if you are feeling adventurous you can scramble through this cave until you magically appear into the sunlight on the top of the hill, being rewarded with perhaps some of the most beautiful views in Cambodia, with the traditional countryside stretching off into the Gulf of Thailand and its many islands. For the less adventurous you can follow a track up the outside of the hill be see the same views. During the 1960’s Kampot was world famous for its aromatic pepper you will visit a local pepper plantation and continue to visit Rabbit island until late afternoon return to our hotel in Kep. Day7: Kep - Phnom Penh - Departure 
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Phnom Penh airport for departure
